Course content:
The “Discovery” training allows you to explore the different subject areas related to the work of civilian drones. The training highlights the commercial aspect of civil drones and focuses on various areas of application and industries.
- Organisation of civil aviation
- Swiss legislation, special features of the individual cantons
- Permit applications (Skyguide, cantonal police)
- Meteorology
- General overview of the commercial drone market
- Control modes (waypoint, point of interest, home-lock, course-lock, follow me, active-track)
- Overview of the various flight applications (DJI GO, Autopilot, Litchi)
- Flight preparation and map reading
- Overview of the components of the drone (motors, propellers, sensors, integrated electronics, batteries, …)
